This week's joys 🐝

Hey friend!

Here are my simple joys this week (if you missed any, you can catch up here):

On Sunday we celebrated my nephew Levi’s 5th birthday with a bug themed party… and a slip & slide! It was my first time going down one in 30+ years and it was a blast (despite some minor bumps and bruises)!

I took my meditation practice outside on Wednesday morning. I allowed my awareness to stay present with the chirping of birds, rattling of cicadas, and whirring of bees and hummingbirds.

I got a second hummingbird feeder to minimize territorial squabbles. I placed it in a spot just off the deck so I have a clear view when I’m sitting outside. The other night, one of the girls got curious after feeding and flew up to me to check me out. She hovered about two feet in front of my face- it was exhilarating! It seems like they’re getting more comfortable with me (and even Stella- two hovered nearby to check her out, too!).

I hope your weekend is filled with some simple joys. Some beautiful things that make you smile and feel alive.

🤍 Courtney
