This week's joys 😺

Hey friends.

I hope you're well. There is so much going on right now collectively, I hope you're caring for yourself. I hope you're giving yourself space to process and space for joy.

This week's joys: (if you're new around here, welcome! you can read the origin of this weekly practice of mine here)

I’ve been puttering around a lot lately. I love a good putter- doing a little of this, a little of that. It feels just productive enough to prevent me from becoming one with the couch. And it feels good to take care of those small tasks (the ones I always seem to put off) that make daily life just a bit easier.

I’ve been meaning to read Wintering by Katherine May for some time. I decided instead to listen to it on audiobook (since I currently have four books waiting for me to finish them, sitting on my side table). In it, Katherine explores the different types of “winters” we go through in life. The times of upheaval when we are called (or forced) to surrender, slow down, and give ourselves what we need. It was beautiful- I finished listening to it in only three days.

Spending some time with my friend Kristen, who was visiting from TX. She’s the kind of friend where you never run out of things to talk about. We caught up with each other’s lives, went to a brewery (and took her two cats!), and began planning our June trip to Europe!

Also- I’m teaching my next community yoga class on Wednesday, January 21st from 6:15-7:45pm. I’d love for you to join me! I’m offering this class as pay what you can and it’s accessible for all levels of yoga experience. Learn more and register.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend,

Courtney
